After the last post’s brief lapse into miserablism, happy days are here again thanks to the trip to Cesis. As well as being a nice little town, it has a disproportionately active cultural scene with concerts, lectures and festivals galore.
It’s bidding to become a European capital of culture in 2014 and while Riga and Liepaja are more likely to win the title, they deserve it far less than plucky little Cesis where they genuinely take culture seriously.
But I digress. The reason for my smile came from seeing a poster for a forthcoming gig of what I assume are local bands.
Three quarters of the way down the bill, I saw a band whose name is surely set to go down in the anals (sic) of rock history.
